Ben Croxford

Ben Croxford is Director of Safety & Chief Operating Officer at Eclipse Power, having joined the business in 2023 as Delivery Director before progressing to Managing Director of Eclipse Power’s IDNO. 

With over 18 years’ experience in the utilities sector, Ben has built his career across operations, safety, commercial delivery, digital transformation and strategic growth. He began his career as a gas network apprentice and has since held senior roles across the energy and utilities industry, including Business Development and Strategy Lead at mua Group and Digital Transformation and Productivity Lead at SGN. 

At Eclipse Power, Ben plays a key role in supporting the business through its next phase of growth. His remit spans safety, operations, people, transformation, regulation, external affairs, sales and customer delivery, with a focus on building a scalable, high-performing business that delivers safely and consistently for customers. 

Ben’s belief that safety should be a core part of how a business operates, not a standalone function. His wider experience also includes digital development, marketing, communications and account management. He was previously recognised as a world finalist in the Institute of Gas Engineers and Managers Young Person Award for his work driving digital transformation in the utilities sector. 

Outside of work, Ben enjoys spending time with his young family. He is also passionate about training and regularly sets himself challenging goals across bodybuilding, CrossFit and strongman-style events.
