Matt Predescu

Matt Predescu joined Eclipse Power as a Grid Consultant, supporting clients across the development and delivery of electricity connection projects. Working across a broad range of sectors, he helps customers navigate the grid connection process from early-stage feasibility and project development through to construction support and compliance activities. His role includes working closely with network operators, funders developers, and other project stakeholders to identify viable connection strategies and support successful project delivery.  

Matt’s experience spans renewable energy development, grid connections, and stakeholder management across both distribution and transmission networks. His background includes the installation and operation of solar PV systems ranging from domestic installations to commercial rooftop and ground-mounted projects, alongside utility-scale solar development. As part of this work, he has supported project development activities, negotiated land agreements, and worked closely with landowners and project stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle. More recently, he has been supporting investors with grid due diligence activities for both individual project and portfolio acquisition. 

Throughout his career, Matt has worked on projects requiring close coordination with National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET), the National Energy System Operator (NESO), developers, and landowners to progress complex energy infrastructure schemes. Combining technical and commercial understanding with strong stakeholder engagement experience, he supports customers in assessing project viability, securing grid connections, acquiring or selling projects and navigating the evolving energy landscape as the UK transitions towards a more flexible and renewable-led electricity system.
