Electricity Connections. Simplified.
Laura Henry joined Eclipse Power as Director of Regulation, Policy and External Affairs, bringing more than 14 years of experience across the UK energy sector, with a particular focus on electricity connections, network regulation, and policy development.
Laura has spent the majority of her career at National Grid, working extensively across both Transmission and Distribution connections. She has played a key role in the UK’s Connections Reform programme since its inception and led an industry workstream for the Energy Networks Association (ENA), helping ensure reforms delivered effective outcomes for DNO distribution customers as well as transmission-level stakeholders.
Her experience includes managing connection agreements across both transmission and distribution networks, alongside leading work linked to National Energy System Operator’s five-point plan aimed at addressing challenges within the connections queue ahead of formal reform implementation. As part of this work, Laura was instrumental in drafting and introducing CMP376 queue management arrangements into transmission-level contracts.
Laura has also worked within NESO’s Capacity Market team, overseeing agreement management processes, and previously held a role within National Grid Electricity Transmission’s Lands team, where she was responsible for protecting National Grid assets from third-party planning consents.
At Eclipse Power, Laura leads the company’s regulatory, policy, and external affairs activities, supporting customers and industry partners in navigating the evolving UK energy landscape and helping shape the future of electricity connections and infrastructure policy.
