As National Apprenticeship Week unfolds, at Eclipse Power, it has provided us with an opportunity to reflect on the invaluable role apprenticeships play in shaping and developing our amazing team.
We are proud advocates of apprenticeship programs, recognising them as not only a pathway for learning but also as a strategic investment in the future of our business.
Claire Noble, Head of Talent at Eclipse Power..
“In recent years Apprenticeships have been developed around what a business requires to help someone, whatever their age, background, and experiences. They are no longer solely for post school leavers. We have introduced some apprenticeships at Eclipse as a way of focussing development and providing qualifications to embed learning.”
At Eclipse Power, we are committed to nurturing our talent, fostering diversity and promoting the growth and development of our team. Apprenticeships provide a unique opportunity for our employees to gain practical skills and effectively bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application, all whilst earning a wage.
We are proud to have 2 of our employees currently undertaking an apprenticeship; Nicola Price, Programme Manager within the delivery team, and Alex Pentecost, Regulatory Analyst within the Compliance and Regulation team.
By investing in apprenticeships, we are able to provide our staff with the opportunity to adapt, develop and learn, contributing to a culture of continuous innovation and learning within our business.
Contrary to popular belief, apprenticeships are not solely reserved for school leavers. They represent a diverse spectrum of learning opportunities, catering to individuals of all ages and backgrounds, open to anyone with the passion and drive to learn.
Nicola and Alex are taking a hands-on approach to their development, and throughout their apprenticeship will ‘learn by doing’ under the guidance of experienced mentors.
We are certain that their experience will accelerate their skill development, allow them to acquire valuable skills and qualifications, in-still confidence and a sense of ownership in their roles at Eclipse and beyond.
At Eclipse, we recognise the value that apprenticeships bring to both individuals and businesses alike, and as such we endorse and support the scheme as a great way of learning, regardless of where you are in your career journey.
As we celebrate National Apprenticeship Week at Eclipse, we are proud to show our commitment to unlocking the potential of all individuals, regardless of age, background, or experience.
