Business Development Manager – Electric Vehicles (EV)

Eclipse Power Networks are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to focus on Electric Vehicles (EV) charging infrastructure.

With a good general knowledge and experience of the electrical distribution industry with a strong emphasis on new EV charging infrastructure grid connections business development and identify project adoption opportunities in this new and growing sector. This role is part of the wider business development team and will report into the Head of Connections.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Source / Identify new IDNO business opportunities within the UK EV charging sector
  • Research and build relationships with new/existing end clients, charging infrastructure providers
  • Research of EV market development for IDNO opportunities.
  • Negotiate and close new projects/accounts
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions
  • Secure new enquiries and processing applications for Asset Value Contributions
  • Support the broader BD team in brand promotion

Skills & Requirements:

  • 3 – 5 years electrical project engineering sales experience
  • Experience required on EV charging infrastructure and electrical services. DNO / IDNO / ICP experience would be an advantage.
  • Computer literacy with the ability to use Microsoft office applications and tools
  • Willingness to learn the use preparatory commercial IT systems
  • Ability to prioritise work activity to deliver business requirements
  • Work flexibly either under supervision or on own initiative as required
  • Excellent written, oral communications and presentation skills
